Accomplishments 2006-2009 Accomplishments   Track 2006 Katelyn W. (Sr.) placed 4th at the State Track Meet Meet in the 400 meters with a winning time of 56.03. She is the defending Region I champion and the District 6-5A champion in the 400 meters. Katelyn is currently running track at Wake Forest.   Devin B. (Sr) placed 5th at the State Track Meet in the 400 meters. She is the Region I Runner-Up and the District 6-5A Runner-Up. Devin is currently running track at Texas Tech University. Cross Country 2006-2008 Taylor R. placed 10th at the State Cross Country Meet with a new school record and won six individual titles during the season.   Tom H. placed 36th in the State Meet.   The Boys Varsity Cross Country Team placed 4th at the State Cross Country Meet. Members are Matt K., Chad M., Tom H., Sumner W., Will W., Tal K., and Colton R. They are also the Region I 5A Team Runner-Up and the District 6-5A Team Champions. Chad M. is currently running cross country at Lipscomb University. {Cross Country}   Kim K. (Fr) placed 20th at the State Cross Country Meet. The next year Kim placed 11th at the State Cross Country Meet. Kim is the defending District 6-5A champion for the past two years. {Kim K.}   Tom H. (Sr) placed 31st at the State Cross Country Volleyball 2007-2008 For the first time in CHS history, a junior volleyball player, Laurie M. was selected for the All-State team. There are only 25 girls chosen throughout the state. {All-State V-Ball}   Lexi O., Sally D., and Molly C. received Texas Girls Coaches Association Academic All State recognition.   {Academic All State}   Shelby T. is a Texas Sports Writers Association All Sate recipient.   {Shelby} Swimming 2007 At the State Swimming and Diving Meet, Maddie C. placed 2nd in the 100 Backstroke,  3rd in the 100 Butterfly and she also competed in the Womens 200 Free Relay. Wrestling 2008-2009 Two women competed at the State Wrestling Tournament. Tessa P. was a State Champion and Yadinma N. placed second.   Yadinma N. was name the Most Outstanding District Wrestler.   The Boys and Girls Wrestling Teams became District Champions.  {Wrestling}   Four men competed at the State Wrestling Tournament and Spencer C. was a 2x State Champion and Ben R. placed second. Tennis 2007 Carson K. placed 3rd at the State Mens Singles Tennis Tournament. Carson is the first male in CHS history to advance to state. {Tennis} Baseball 2009 CHS Cowboy Varsity Baseball Team Ranked #1 by the Texas High School baseball Coaches Association. CHS Cowboy Senior Baseball Players are Jonathan W., Austin E., and Chad K., (TPX/Louisville Slugger, Pre Season All-Americans). {Baseball}
